Halef: Köklerin Çağrısı(Successor: The Call of the Roots) is turkish series produced by Most Production. This series premiring on NOW TV with it's first episode airing on September 11, 2025. This series is helmed by directors Deniz Çelebi Dikilitaş, Ercan Uğur and penned by prominent writers including Murat Düzgünoglu, Melik Saraçoglu.


Last Episode Summary

The unexpected passing of Bekir Ağa marks the beginning of a new era.  Melek gives Serhat the opportunity to abandon everything and accompany her back to Istanbul in this tumultuous environment.  Serhat wants to leave Yıldız behind, but Aşır has a surprise in store for him. This is Serhat's only wish.  Sevde challenges Sultan to face the weight of the past and takes Melek on a secret-filled journey that takes her back to her origins.  Akif is working on his plans to become an ağa.  Akif tries to persuade Serhat to go back to Istanbul with Melek, but he knows he has to kill Hatçik in secret first.  Deli Sevde makes a move that will foil all of his plans as he boldly moves towards the ağa position.


As he continues on his path to becoming the Ağa with firm and certain steps, Deli Sevde makes such a move that will turn all of his plans in ruins.  But this is not a move that will only ruin Akif’s plans, but also brings Yıldız one step closer to her dreams.

Plot and Storyline 

Serhat (Şen) a highly successful surgeon who traded the destiny his homeland had in store for him for building a completely different life for himself in Istanbul. This decision leads him to Melek (Pusat), whom Serhat immediately falls in love with and secretly marries without his family knowing, but fate has an unforeseen surprise waiting for him.


Serhat is forced to return to Urfa, where he must live under the shadow of two rival families and confront the past he has been avoiding for years. When his family requests that he marry Yıldız (Yılmaz) in order to put an end to the feud, Serhat is forced to make the difficult decision to accept the values he once rejected and change from a career-driven surgeon to an agha. The mansion's power dynamics are totally upended by Melek's arrival. Serhat is caught between his conscience and his heart, and he has to deal with the consequences of his past as Melek travels to his native country in the hopes of reuniting with her love.
