A New Drama Series Halef: Köklerin Çağrısı Coming to NOW this Fall


NOW is preparing a turkish series name as Halef: Köklerin Çağrısı for the release, set to premiere this Fall. The most wanted series, produced by Most Production, brings together an all-star cast and a gripping storyline rooted in love, betrayal, and long-buried family secrets.

Main characters are İlhan Şen, Aybüke Pusat, and Biran Damla Yılmaz, who were recently joined by the full ensemble and creative team like director Deniz Çelebi Dikilitaş and screenwriter Ercan Uğur for the project’s first official script reading.

Main character of Halef: Köklerin Çağrısı is Serhat (İlhan Şen), a talented and ambitious surgeon who left his hometown of Urfa behind to build a new life in Istanbul. There, he meets and secretly marries

Melek (Aybüke Pusat), hoping to keep the past firmly behind him. But fate intervenes, forcing Serhat back to the very world he escaped one filled with deeply rooted family expectations and unresolved rivalries.

Serhat is expected to assume the role of agha and uphold immigration he possesses long rejected as he becomes entangled in the power struggles between two rival families. When his family forces him to wed Yıldız (Biran Damla Yılmaz) in order to finally put an end to the decades-long contention, matters become even more complicated. The family mansion turns into a battlefield of emotions, loyalty, and shifting power when Melek passes to Urfa to look for her husband, opening old wounds.

The series delves into complex themes of identity, tradition, and the secrets people carry in silence. As the story unfolds, it becomes clear that every character is hiding something and no one is as innocent as they seem.
